Olli is happy that Cricket will finally let him play with the puppies. He'll put his head down to ground level and let the little ones pull his ears then he grabs them gently by the head and puts them over on their backs. Harry has had his chance also, but is much more dignified about how he plays. Harry doesn't allow sniffing of his crotch (looking for nipples) and prefers just to stomp with his front feet. Poor little Blue boy couldn't understand what all the stomping was about and laid quietly on his back until Harry eventually walked away. Keep away seems to be the game of the day amongst the pups who can now run full tilt in the main kennel area while others try to hide behind the first available tree with the treasured object. Cricket tends to each pup by carefully licking them clean but now nursing is not allowed and she will growl quite aggressively to teach of them not to bite her! Except for the occasional yipe the puppies seem to be learning this lesson well. Next Wednesday each pup will be graded and final decisions about placement will be made. Until then ... Deb
